Mongoose Metrics updates its system to provide customers with yet another level of granularity. The new feature allows clients to see both the term that was bid on as well as the raw search query that the visitor typed in.Knowing the raw search query helps clients decipher which search termsĀ generate phone calls. This helps paid search managers optimize for particular long tail keywords. Knowing which terms are generating phone calls reduces the time to take to analyze and optimize paid search campaigns.
For example, if a search marketer bids on the term ‘blue tractors’ with phrase or broad match, the ad will appear for search queries such as ‘fast blue tractors’ or ‘cheap used blue tractors’. While this is good for advertisers, they do not know the exact search query entered into the original search. With the new raw search query feature, clients are able to see both the bid term – ‘blue tractors’ and the search query – ‘cheap used blue tractors’.
